Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology has a Physical Education department which promotes Sports and Games. The college has very good play ground and facilities for sports and games like Cricket, Volley ball, Football, Shuttle and Ball badminton, Chess, Carrom, Fencing etc. Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology have gained a reputation for preparing and encouraging good sportsmen. Many students represent the University in various sports and games. A few students of the college have excelled and become National level sportsmen.
